Me, Myself & I: what would you do with 20 million Euros?

Active Philanthropy developed with students of the Stockholm-based Berghs School of Communication different products and ideas to promote “a new culture of giving”.

Some of them we introduce here on our website.
First we’d like to share with you the campaign concept called "Me, Myself & I". This campaign, developed by students of the Berghs School of Communication, is about an imaginary philanthropist who’d like to give away 20 million Euros. But how?

And: What would you do with 20 million Euros?

What is Philanthropy?

Our organisation carries the word „Philanthropy“ in its name. In conversations people often characterise the word as “difficult to grasp” or to many people it is even unknown. Here you find some answers that people we’ve met in the streets of Berlin gave us.

What would you give for?

Active Philanthropy firmly believes in strategic giving. But from Aristotle to Bill Gates numerous donors have recognized how difficult it is to spend their money wisely and with having an impact. Developing and implementing a giving strategy is an important tool, but most of the time giving starts with intuition. Listen to some of the issues people would give to in one of the intriguing “What if”-situations.

What are currently the greatest challenges of society?

The work of our organisation is about a new giving culture and how we can use strategic giving as a means to overcome the challenges that humanity is facing. What are these challenges? Are they identical with those we read about in the daily newspaper and see in the TV news? Watch and listen to some of the answers that we filmed in the streets of Berlin.
